JAMMU, June 9: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today asked the Government not to take any decision unilaterally for either statehood of J&K or reversion of Article 370.
“Many news are surfacing in the social media that talks between Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minster Amit Shah are going on over the statehood or reversion of Article 370 once again in the J&K UT,” said Prof Kali Dass, general secretary AIBCU Social in a meeting of the union held here today.
The meeting held here under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik discussed threadbare the alleged talks between J&K LG and Central Government over the statehood or over reversion of Article 370. Participants which joined meeting telephonically stressed upon the Government not to take any decision for either statehood or for reversion of Article 370 without consultation of OBCs of J&K.
They said before 5th August 2019, there was full statehood with special status under Article 370 but the respective Governments mostly belonging to Gupkar Group, never implemented constitutional rights of Other Backward Classes but looted their rights on the name of RBA and LoC reservations.
“After the abrogation of Article 370, the so called OBC PM Modi blocked the natural flow of justice for OBCs on page 42 of the bill of Abrogation of Article 370 at Serial number 7 and adopted the formula set by the Gupkar Group,” the speakers said, adding, now once again there are discussions on social media over the reversion of Art 370 or statehood in J&K.
The participants asked the Government not to make J&K UT a ground for “Gulli-Danda Game” where the PM and Home Minister will make changes at their will.
Those who joined the meeting were Balkar Singh, Gurmeet Singh, SC Verma, Jagdidh Verma, Jia Lal verma, Rajesh Kashyap, Vikas Bhardwaj, Darbari Lal Prajapsati, Pritam Chand, Dr Som Nath and M R Bangotra.
