JAMMU, Apr 1: National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (NIAEM) has given Appreciation Certificate to Agriculture Extension Officer, Dr. Vishal Raina of J&K Department of Agriculture for his project report on ‘A Study on Entrepreneurial Behaviour of Vegetable Growers in Jammu District’.
A handout stated that NIAEM Hyderabad has appreciated the contribution of Dr. Raina in the Certified Farm Advisor (CFA) Vegetables Certification Course as Dr. Raina is the first person who successfully qualified all the three modules of CFA programme.
In Module-III of the course Dr. Raina submitted a detailed field visit report and project report on ‘A Study on Entrepreneurial Behaviour of Vegetable Growers in Jammu District’ and applied his learning skills on specialization and delivered effective advisory services to the farmers of the area.
The findings of the study were to make better coordination between vegetable growers and extension agencies for improving technical knowledge, skills, and attitude to make vegetable profession as job creators and not job seekers.
During the training programme the success story ‘Audacity should not be in muscles: Rural youth’ ranked second on the manage website. The essence of the programme was to integrate and utilization of human resources i.e., improved technologies, people participation and Government policies in a sustainable manner to enhance farm income.
