The Railway reservation counter at Jammu Station, meant for journalists, females and senior citizens has been totally usurped by Tatkal passengers. Most of the senior citizens have to wait in long queues, being roasted in summer and chilled in winter.
It is humbly prayed that the Northern Railway Management, should open separate counter for Tatkal passengers, instead of huddling it up with the above cited counter so that the senior citizens suffering from old age ailment have not to wait long at the reservation counter.
It is praise worthy that the Railway Ministry have given so many concessions to Sr. Citizens especially female above 50 years. Creating hassle free separate counter shall be another gesture of goodwill so that aged, ailing and alienated senior citizens shall heave a sigh of relief, by alleviating the agony of waiting for long hours at the reservation counter.
