Agnishekhar demands sanitization of camps, facilities at Jagti Hospital

JAMMU, May 9: Panun Kashmir (PK) convener, Dr Agnishekhar has urged the Government to take immediate steps for sanitization of Jagti township in view of some positive COVID cases have been reported from there.
He said besides, daily sprinkling and fogging the cleanliness drive be launched in the township and the garbage lying here and there be removed for the safety of thousands of camp inmates. He also demanded that the utmost steps be taken for the sanitation of other camps including Nagrota, Purkhoo, Buta Nagar and Muthi where the displaced families are putting up.
In a statement issued here, today, Dr Agnishekhar also demanded that all facilities including ample number of Oxygen cylinders and beds, besides medicines as well as all testing including X-ray and Ultra Sound facilities be provided at Jagti Hospital which has been upgraded to the level of Sub District Hospital recently.
He said the camp inmates who met him have expressed concern over the shortage of doctors and para medical staff in the Hospital and the vacant posts be filled up immediately so that the Hospital will not act as a referral hospital but the patients coming there get a class treatment. This will decrease the workload on other hospitals of the city also, he added.
