After 24 yrs, DPC conducted in AYUSH Deptt, 36 confirmed as ADMOs

JAMMU, Nov 16: After a long wait of 24 years, Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, Bhupinder Kumar conducted Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting in AYUSH Department and confirmed 36 Medical Officers (Ayurvedic) as Assistant District Medical Officers (ADMOs).
“As recommended by the J&K Departmental Promotion Committee/J&K Public Service Commission, sanction is hereby accorded to the regularization/ confirmation of 36 Medical Officers (Ayurvedic) to the post of ADMOs of Indian System of Medicines J&K (now AYUSH J&K) in the pay scale of (Rs 10000-325-15200 pre-revised) Rs 67700-208700, Level-11 revised,” said an order issued today by Secretary H&ME Department.
Commenting on the development, Dr Mohan Singh (Director AYUSH J&K) said that these 36 Medical officers of Ayurveda had served the Department as In-Charge District Ayush Officers (then Assistant District Medical Officers) from the year 2000 to 2020 after they were designated the posts as per their seniority. He said it was due to the personal efforts of Secretary H&ME that these 36 Medical Officers of Ayurveda were confirmed as District Ayush Officers. He said that this has paved the way for confirmation of other Medical Officers, Ayurveda who are presently working as In-Charge District Ayush Officers.
As per the Order, Dr Hans Raj Gupta has been given the effect from 24-10-2000 (notionally) and from 01-04-2001 to 30-04-2002 (on regular basis), Dr Ravinder Khajuria from 24-10-2000 to 30-11-2003, Dr Sudharshan Gupta from 01-05-2002 to 30-04-2004, Dr Padam Dev Raina from 01-06-2002 to 31-03-2004, Dr Raj kumara from 01-09-2002 to 28-02-2003, Dr Lal Chand Raina from 01-01-2003 to 31-03-2004 and Dr Sudesh Khanna from 01-03-2003 to 31-05-2005.
Dr Puran Chand has been given the effect of regularization from 01-06-2003 to 29-02-2004, Dr Dev Raj Katoch from 01-12-2003 to 30-04-2004, Dr Urmila Kohli from 01-03-2004 to 31-12-2005, Dr Rampal Sharma from 25-04-2005 to 30-06-2005, Dr Manmohan Dutta from 25-04-2005 to 30-09-2005, Dr Sureshta Gupta from 25-04-2005 to 30-09-2005, Dr Tej Krishan Kak from 25-04-2005 to 30-06-2005 and Dr KK Gandotra from 01-06-2005 to 30-09-2005.
The effect of regularization has been given to Dr Govind Ram Gupta from 26-10-2005 to 31-12-2005, Dr Ashok Kumar Gupta (son of Mohinder Parkash) from 26-10-2005 to 30-11-2005, Dr KK Bhaderwaj from 26-10-2005 to 30-06-2006, Dr Davinder Kumar Sharma from 26-10-2005 to 28-02-2009, Dr Subash Chander from 01-01-2006 to 31-08-2006, Dr Swami Raj Sharma from 01-01-2006 to 31-01-2006 and Dr Vipin Chander from 01-02-2006 to 31-03-2006.
Dr Bharat Bushan has been given the effect from 01-04-2006 to 31-08-2008, Dr Virander Kumar Gupta from 01-09-2008 to 31-03-2009, Dr Kamlesh Sharma from 02-03-2009 to 31-07-2009, Dr Tilak Raj Sharma from 01-04-2009 to 31-08-2010, Dr TR Sanddal (SOC) from 01-04-2009 to 31-10-2009, Dr Ashok Kumar Koul from 01-09-2010 to 31-03-2011, Dr Kashmir Singh Manhas from 01-04-2011 to 31-01-2013 and Dr Surinder Kumar Gupta from 06-09-2011 to 31-10-2012.
Further, Dr Jagdesh Lal has been given the effect of regularization from 01-04-2012 to 30-11-2012, Dr Rameshwar Dutt from 01-11-2012 to 31-07-2016, Dr Kulbushan Sharma from 01-02-2013 to 31-01-2014, Dr Deepika Shankhyadhar from 01-02-2014 to 31-08-2016 and Dr Saroj Sharma from 30-05-2019 to 31-01-2020.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the year 2022, 20 Medical Officers (Unani) were confirmed as District Ayush Officers by the DPC/PSC vide Government Order Number 910-JK (HME) of 2022 dated 16-12-2022.
