Afghan Foreign Minister to hold talks with Sushma, Modi in New Delhi

KABUL, Sept 10:
Acting Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani will hold talks with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi tomorrow.
According to the reports here, Rabbani is visiting New Delhi for the India Afghanistan Strategic Partnership Council meeting where relations between the two countries will be reviewed.
A report in the “Tolo News” today said Afghanistan is expected to renew its demand for greater Indian involvement in the war-ravaged nation.
The Afghan leader arrives in Delhi today for the delegation-level talks of the ”India Afghanistan Strategic Partnership Council” during which the two sides are likely to review the entire gamut of relations, including the Indian humanitarian assistance to the embattled nation, India’s media reported.
This will be the first high-level visit to India from Afghanistan after US President Donald Trump unveiled his Afghan strategy last month and appealed to India to assume a greater role in the country.
Also, the two countries are also expected to consider how they could jointly combat terrorism unleashed by Pakistan-based terror groups in both India and Afghanistan. (UNI)
