REASI, Apr 5: Workers of Afcon company in Reasi continued their protest on the third consecutive day against alleged violation of Labour laws by the company.
The protesting workers raised slogans and alleged that the Afcon was violating Labour laws while the district authorities were keeping mum on the issue.
Workers held a protest outside the office of Afcon at Baradhari, Reasi and demanded action by the Railway Minister. They claimed that many workers had been ousted by the company for complaining about delay in payment of salaries and lack of wage revision. They also said there was no medical staff to provide treatment to the workers in case of accident at the work site.
The protest was held under the leadership of Munshi Ram Salaria, the Labour Union president.
