UDHAMPUR, May 2: Advocate Surinder Khajuria has been elected as president of District Bar Association Udhampur while Advocate Sahil Raina was elected as the Secretary.
A total of 108 members cast their vote for the elections of the District Bar Association.
For the post of president, Adv Surinder Khajuria got 47 votes whereas Adv Jai Dev Slathia, Adv Ajay Bandral and Adv Dinkar Gupta got 29, 19 and 12 votes, respectively whereas 1 vote was declared invalid.
For the post of Secretary, Adv Secretary got 74 votes whereas his rival candidate Adv Tarun Gupta could get only 31 votes and 3 votes were declared invalid. For the post of Cashier, Adv Kuldeep Singh was elected unopposed.
