JAMMU, June 1: Police today arrested an advocate for kidnapping a married woman from Jagti area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
As per police sources, Manzoor Hussain of Jagti lodged a complaint with police station Nagrota today alleging that his wife was kidnapped by Advocate Ashiq Firdous of Srinagar.
Accordingly a case under relevant Sections was registered at police station Nagrota and manhunt was launched to recover the woman.
On specific inputs, police team from Nagrota police station conducted a raid in Preet Nagar, Digiana and nabbed the kidnapper.
The kidnapped woman was also recovered and later handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
