Advisor Skandan takes stock of people’s grievances

JAMMU Aug 30: Advisor to Governor, K Skandan today met several deputations and individuals at weakly grievance redress camp.
He interacted with the public delegations and individuals and listened to their issues and demands.
A delegation of Doordarshan Approved Drama Artist Association led by Jagdish Singh raised their demand for starting Duggar channel on the line of DD Kashir. The shortlisted candidates for the post of Junior Legal Assistant in Law Department demanded their appointment.
A delegation of Inspectors of Excise Department raised issues related to pay anomaly and sought revocation of SRO 202.
The City Level Technical Experts of Housing for All of Housing and Urban Development Department sought extension of their contract and rationalization of salary of new and old experts engaged under different notifications.
A delegation of PM Package Association led by Ashwani Charangoo raised their demand for de-reservation of unfilled RBA posts.
A delegation of Sarpanchs and Panchs of village Mandal led by Som Nath Dogra submitted a memorandum of demands related to development issues of their area.
The residents of village Jaswan, Marh led by Ratan Singh put forth revenue related issues of their area.
Individuals, Isha Gupta and Rifat Khan raised issues related to their pending SRO-43 cases while Akshay Bhagat, an employee of Sheep Husbandry, who was paralyzed in an accident, raised the issue concerning release of his pending salary.
A delegation of hawkers of Railway Station area put forth their issues related to JDA.
A delegation of erstwhile GTU/SRTC retirees led by KL Sharma put forth their concerns regarding pay anomaly.
Delegations of Naib Tehsildar aspirants, Junior Statistical Assistant aspirants, PM Package JE Civil candidates, aspirants for Junior Assistant post under PM Package and shortlisted candidates under various contractual posts of SRTC raised their concerned issues.
Several other delegations and individuals also met the Advisor and registered their issues and demands pertaining to Industries & Commerce, Animal/ Sheep Husbandry, Revenue, Disaster management, Relief Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, Transport and Law and other departments besides other public importance and developmental issues.
Advisor Skandan gave them a patient hearing and assured the people who turned up at the camp that all their genuine grievances would be examined for the redressal. He also passed on spot instructions in few cases to concerned departments to look into the grievances and resolve them at the earliest.
