LEH, Feb 15: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh UT, Umang Narula convened a review meeting regarding Budget estimates to UT Ladakh for the year 2020-21 at conference hall of UT Secretariat today.
At the outset, the Commissioner Secretary Finance Rigzin Samphel presented a detailed power point presentation on sector wise allocation of budget 2020-21, and outlined the allocation on construction and up-gradation of new Government Residences/Offices, Roads, Bridges and other infrastructure, setting up of new infrastructure for UT Secretariat, Irrigation and Flood Controls works, Agriculture & Horticulture sectors.
It is pertinent to mention that after re-organization of J&K state, the Union Government has allocated Rs 5,958 crore for year 2020-21. In this regard a detailed discussion was held on Budget allocation under the State Sector, Special Development Package (SDP) and Capex of major sectors. In particular, Advisor took detailed review of the budget allocated to departments of Power, Health, Rural development, Police, Agriculture, Village and Small Scale Industries, and Public Works Department.
Commissioner Secretary UT Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel, Divisional Commissioner Ladakh, Saugat Biswas, IGP Ladakh, SS Khandare, DC/CEO LAHDC, Leh Sachin Kumar Vaishya, DC/ CEO LADHC, Kargil Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary, Director Finance, Agriculture, Health, Animals Husbandry and Chief Engineer PWD were present in the meeting. Officers from concerned department of Kargil also attended the meeting through video conference.
