Advisor Khan takes stock of public grievances

JAMMU, Aug 26: Advisor to Governor, Farooq Khan today held a public grievance redressal camp at Convention Centre, where he met several public delegations and individuals who apprised him about their issues and demands.
During the camp, as many as 90 public deputations including individuals hailing from different areas of Jammu region put their demands and grievances before the Advisor and sought his intervention for the early redress of the same.
A delegation of residents from village Surara, Samba raised various issues of public importance of their area including upgradation of Government High School.
A delegation of residents of village Ambaran, Akhnoor sought rent compensation for the land in defence use.
A delegation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Rakesh Gupta put forth the demand related to hike in one time road tax.
Delegations of KAS Officers J&K Teachers’ Forum, Education Department Teachers, J&K temporary Teacher’s Association, RMSA Subject Specific Teachers , All J&K Ladakh Teachers Federation and Employees of Haj and Auqaf Jammu raised service related issues.
A representative of Childline apprised the Advisor about various issues concerning the effective working of the organization.
Delegations of All J&K Panchayat Conference headed by its President Anil Sharma and JK Kisaan Council Rural Development led by its Chairman Tirath Ram put forth several issues pertaining to Rural Development Department.
A deputation of Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu raised Auqaf property related issue.
A delegation of Non-Gazetted Police Personnel Welfare Forum headed by Ajit Singh put forth their issue related to pay anomaly.
A delegation of Anganwadi Workers Welfare Association J&K headed by Neelam Sharma raised issues pertaining to pending salaries and honorary.
A delegation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee raised development issues of their locality.
Various other individuals and delegations also called on the Advisor and raised various issues and demands related to School Education, Technical Education, Haj & Auqaf, Social Welfare, Tribal Affairs, Culture, Agriculture/Horticulture and Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and sought their redressal.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the demands put forth by delegations and individuals during the camp and assured them that all of their genuine concerns will be addressed. He also passed on-spot directions to the concerned departments for taking necessary action for the redressal of various demands.
