Advisor Khan, MP, others meet Lt Governor

Jammu, Nov 15: Farooq Khan, newly appointed Advisor to Lt. Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu met the latter at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Lt. Governor and Khan discussed wide ranging issues relating to the developmental scenario and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lt. Governor congratulated Khan for his new appointment and wished him a successful tenure ahead.
Sushil Kumar Thakur, Accountant General (Audit) and Shourjo Chatterjee, Accountant General (Accounts) also met Lt. Governor, at Raj Bhavan today.
They briefed Lt. Governor about the areas of J&K Government functioning which have been audited in the recent past for promoting a transparent framework of policy, rules and regulations and encouraging efficiency and accountability in the functioning of the entire administrative apparatus.
Lt. Governor stressed the importance of all required steps being taken for the maintenance of transparency, financial probity and fiscal discipline in the governmental apparatus.
Shamsher Manhas, Member of Parliament accompanied by Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K also met Lt. Governor, here today.
The delegation discussed with Lt. Governor about the developmental aspirations of people and various issues relating to public welfare.
Dr. C. Chandramouli, Secretary DoPT & DARPG and Ranjan, Additional Secretary, DOPT met Lt. Governor, Girish Chandra and discussed about the DoPT’s capacity building initiatives for different levels of Government officials and up-gradation of the training infrastructure of Government Training Institutions all over the country.
Lt. Governor and Dr. Chandramouli stressed the high importance of professional ethics and standards of the bureaucracy, maintenance of the integrity and eradication of corruption for effective delivery of public services.
N.S. Jamwal, IG BSF Jammu Frontier also met Lt. Governor, at the Raj Bhavan and briefed Lt. Governor about some of the current issues relating to BSF’s operations in Jammu and about the likely pattern of the emerging security scenario.
