NEW DELHI, May 17: Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora today said that J&K Government has taken several initiatives for exploring and showcasing adventure tourism in the state, adding that focused attention is being given to upgrade and develop infrastructure facilities at adventure sports for convenience of adventure lovers.
Speaking at the launch of ‘explore’, India’s first adventure magazine at New Delhi this evening, the Minister highlighted the scope of adventure tourism particularly in Ladakh region and said that the potential of the region is being explored fully to attract high end tourists.
Mr. Jora called upon the world tourist industry to highlight state’s tremendous adventure tourism potential for attracting maximum tourists towards the State. He said that atmosphere is very conducive and peaceful to facilitate visitors in Jammu and Kashmir. “We have received huge tourist arrival during last year and it is expected that this year the state would surpass all previous records”.
