Adulteration in sweets

Sir,
During festivals, the sweet shopkeepers in order to meet the demand of customers compromise the quality of sweets.
Milk, paneer, khoya and ghee are essential componenta of various sweets and these are easily adulterated through various substances which are cheaper and of lower nutrient content and toxic in nature. They also use sugar substitues, artificial flavours and colours in sweets which are harmful for health.
Food safety department plays a curcial role during festivals to check the quality of sweets in various shops. But we also need to be careful while buying, eating and distributing food items during festival.
