Sir
J&K State is a hilly state having enough forests as well as green pasturers having much conducive environment for rearing cows, bufalloes sheep and poultry etc. The ground for animal husbandry is quite suitable for setting up dairy units in Jammu and Kashmir respectively. The production of milk and mutton can be increased to such extent that state may earn a lot of revenue by exporting it to other neighbouring states. But reality is somewhat opposite. We import milk from Punjab/Haryana and sheep from Rajasthan.
Milk being sold in the market is so much adulterated that most of the health problems arise from it. Actually, there is no checking and whatsoever is there that is only on papers and nothing else. Govt machinery is a total failure. Even a common man is crying but does not approach to JMC etc because people have lost faith in it.
It is quite sure that at a cost fixed by the Govt from a single shop.
The Administration should wake up and set a facility to a common man so that adultrated milk, chemically treated fruit like banana etc. injected vegetables unhygenic meat may not be sold boldly in the market
Yours etc…..
