Adulterated milk and its products like cheese, curd are being sold in open market as well as at dairies. Not even a single shop/dairy shall be found in Jammu fromwhere a common man can purchase these items at prescribed rates. Water soaked cheese is being sold @ Rs 225-250 per kg.It means you are getting 850gm instead of 1000gm and paying 50 more.The curd is being sold @Rs50 per Kg.
The agencies to check these halwai, dhaba, eatable points , fruit/vegetable shops, restaurants etc, are totally ineffective.They do not exert efforts to check it May be it is in the self interest of some officials/officers or under the influence of some politicians.
If you go to buy fruits or vegetables shops you will find chemically ripen fruits, and vegetables. It is requested to the JMC authorities to take some effective measures to curb this selling of adulterated commodities in the open market so that people may not buy diseases anymore.
