JAMMU, July 19: Former minister Raman Bhalla, JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (Ex- MLC) and NSUI team led by Sunny Parihar, president today reached the DPL Gandhinagar where the students were holding dharna seeking release of other students and mother of a student who were detained inside.
They met the agitating students and extended support to them. The students had made telephone calls to different leaders to come to their rescue.
Bhalla told reporters that Govt should consider their demand sympathetically and resolve the issue and regretted the detention. He extended moral support to them. Chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma who first visited Press Club from where the students were lifted and then reached the DPL, demanded unconditional release of students. He asked the govt to consider and concede their demands.
Sunny Parihar NSUI president and his team joined the dharna of students and pressed for the release of all those detained immediately.
He termed the detention of juveniles as illegal and unfortunate and strongly criticised the attitude of the administration especially Board authorities. He also lashed out at the silence of BJP leaders and their outfits for complete silence over the genuine protests of students of Jammu.
