JAMMU, Nov 29: JKNPP has slammed the LG administration for adopting two yard sticks in exposing the names of those involved in Roshni land scam.
In a press conference here today Rajesh Padgotra, provincial JKNPP president said that names of political leaders of Congress, PDP and NC involved in Roshni land scam are being highlighted but those of BJP are ignored.
He flayed Union MoS, Anurag Thakur for allegedly protecting the land grabbers of BJP and claimed that BJP is deliberately doing this to get benefit in the ongoing DDC elections.
Padgotra questioned the silence of LG administration and central leaders of BJP on an ex-BJP MLA who allegedly encroached 32 kanal and 9 marla of State land.
He also said that the Government has not published name of Kavinder Gupta, ex-Deputy CM who had allegedly grabbed 41 kanal and 9 marla of State land at village Ghank in Tehsil Bhalwal.
The JKNPP leader castigated Dr. Nirmal Singh, ex-Deputy CM for constructing a palatial mansion in Nagrota in violation of Army guidelines.
He claimed that even the High Court has issued contempt notice against the Government in this regard but no action had been taken so far.
Padgotra said that dual policy of the LG administration in protecting BJP leaders and publishing the names of others is intolerable.
“Panthers Party would take agitational course against the Government until names of all land encroachers are not exposed and put in public domain,” he maintained.
Prof. (Rtd) Jai Kumar Sharma and Jeet Kumar Verma, NPP vice president block Vijaypur were also present in the press conference.
