Srinagar, Nov 29: A woman and her two minor daughters died today due to suffocation in Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The trio-Shameema Begum, 43, wife of Abdul Majeed Ganie and their daughters- Nighat Bano, 13, and Tabasum Bano, 9,-were found dead at their house in Lari Boniyar.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Junaid Ahmad, said that a case has been registered and investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the death. “It looks they had died due to suffocation caused by a wood burning heater/stove but further investigations are underway,” he said.
Police said that the bodies were taken to the Primary Health Centre Boniyar for medical examination. Meanwhile, police said, forensic science experts have taken samples for further investigation.
