ADKUF lists problems of displaced Pandits

JAMMU, Aug 3:  A general body meeting of All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) was held here, today under the chairmanship of D N Kissu.
Addressing the meeting Kissu accused both State and Central Governments for their failure in solving the long pending issues of displaced Pandits.
President of Forum, P L Sudeshi reiterated the demand of settling the Pandits at a single place in Kashmir. He also demanded constitution of Commission to expose forces responsible for mass exodus of Pandits and punishing them.
Chief advisor of the Forum Prof G L Koul demanded that the displaced Pandits be paid rent for the land and houses occupied either by police or security forces in Valley., Besides, the encroachments from Pandits properties and religious places be removed and encroachers be dealt under law.
Phoola Bhat president Women Wing demanded benefits of Government schemes be given to Pandits and poor families be provided free gas connections under PM’s Yojna. B N Bhat demanded that ration against payment be restored on Valley pattern. M L Bhat demanded employment to displaced youth.
P L Razdan, C L Zutshi, Bal Ji and N N Dhar also spoke in the meeting.
