ADKPUF to strive for unity in Pandit bodies

JAMMU, Mar 21: All Displaced Kashmiri Pandit United Front (ADKPUF) in its meeting here, today gave a clarion call to all KP organizations to come on a joint platform to fight for the community cause unitedly.
The meeting, which was presided over by chairman of the Front D N Kissu said that the unity among all KP organizations was need of the hour to give a befitting reply to those elements who are trying to harm the community cause. The Forum volunteered to act as a bridge between all KP organizations to bring them under one umbrella.
The meeting, while expressing grave concern over the drama created on Shrines Bill by the coalition in the House said that the Government has totally been exposed before the community as it failed to honour the oft repeated promises regarding passage of the Bill to which the sentiments of entire community are attached.
Highlighting the other problems it expressed concern over plight of youth and took the Government to task of deliberately delaying implementation of PM’s package, grant of minority status to community, enhancement of cash relief besides redressing other day to day issues of the community including delay in issuance of PRCs, RBA certificates.
The meeting took the Government to task for not issuing the voter ID cards and voter lists and demanded settlement of community at a single place in Valley.
The meeting among other office bearers of the Forum was addressed by Prof G L Koul, P L Sudeshi, P N Raina, P L Raina, Phoola Ji Koul, Rajni Thaploo, C L Koul, C L Zuthsi, B N Bhat, Balji Pandit, Nana Ji , M L Koul and Rattan Lal Bhat.
