JAMMU, July 16: ‘Adhyatmik Samvaad: Mahamandleshwar Swami Aksharanand Giri Ji ke sath’- the discussion on the well-known book written by agricultural policy scientist, Dr. Shashank Kulkarni was organized at Krishi Bhawan, Directorate of Agriculture, during the launch of the book here.
The function was presided over by Dr. Kamal Kishore Sharma, Director, Agriculture, Jammu Department.
In his address Director Agriculture said that in the context of increasing materialism and the blind race behind money, this book will lead the society towards an eternal and perfect path.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Aksharanand Giri Ji is a great scholar, but everyone is also familiar with his love for the nation and his faith for social welfare.
The dialogue that took place with such a great personality on important topics like Indian tradition, spirituality, significance of human life, has been put before the society through this book. Through this book, guidance will also be given on how spirituality can be brought into practical life.
Ascetic great men like Mahamandaleshwar Swami Aksharanand Giri Ji increase the dignity of the society. It is a matter of great fortune for all of us to have such supernatural personalities in our midst. Through this book, the unique task of successfully conveying the knowledge Swami Ji has earned through his intense meditation and penance, some nectar of the knowledge Ganga, has been brought through this book. Dr. Shashank Kulkarni said that this book has been composed only to take rich Indian knowledge to the younger generation.
Senior social worker, Master Subhash Sharma said that the programme organized by the Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu is important in itself. Sustainable development of agriculture can be done through the Indian method. The role of such texts is important in this process.
Dr. Radha Krishna Hitaishi, Joint Directors of Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu, Dr. Arvinder Singh, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Verma, Deputy Director, Rishu Gupta, sectoral heads of Department and Accounts Officer, Vishnukant Sharma were present in this discussion. The proceedings of the event were done by programme officer, Dr. Rajeev Katoch. Quoting Swami Ji, he said, “Considering oneself as knowledgeable is the highest ignorance and one should always live in the society like a seeker.’’
