JAMMU, June 15: An Adhoc body of Block Congress Committee Bishnah was framed in a meeting held today.
During a general body meeting of BCC held at Bishnah today under the leadership of former Minister and Member CWC, Gulchain Singh Charak, the speakers said since no organizational elections have been conducted by the Election Authority after the membership drive, there was total confusion and chaos prevailing in the absence of party organization and a proper block committee. They stressed for framing an adhoc committee.
In presence of senior Congress leaders Capt Hashvardhan, Waryam Chand, other office bearers, several Sarpanchs and Congress activists an Adhoc Congress Committee was constituted. Capt Harshvardhan Sharma was nominated as president, Waryam Chand as senior vice president, Vakil Chand, Krishan Chand Saini and Sant Kumar Dingra as vice presidents, Madan Bhagat, Dr Raghubir Singh and K C Mistri as secretaries, Gurdas Ram Bhagat as treasurer, K C Dogra as organizing secretary, Ganga Ram as press secretary, Subash Kaith as publicity secretary while Harminder Singh joint secretary. Some executive committee members were also nominated.
Mr Charak congratulated the new body and asked the office bearers to start functioning.
