SAMBA, Oct 5: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Trainings, PHE, J&K, Navin Agarwal visited Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur and took stock of the facilities being provided to the trainees. He also analyzed the training being imparted to the trainees.
On the occasion, guard of honour was given to the ADGP Trainings.
A power point presentation was given by the Principal PTTI Vijaypur Ranjit Kanwar. He also briefed the ADGP (Trainings) about training activities being carried out in the institution.
During his visit, Aggarwal checked all the technical labs, class rooms, trainees barracks, trainees mess, guard posts, etc.
He also interacted with the officers who included Vice Principal VK Jamwal, DySP (Admn) KK Zutshi, DySP (Outdoor) Ashok Kumar Chib, DySP (R&D/Security) Madan Lal Choudhary, Sr PO Ramesh Chender Sharma, Sr PO Riaz Ahmed besides other training staff of the institution and discussed various issues pertaining to the improvement of training in the institute and sharpening of training skills to enhance professional capabilities.
He also held meeting with staff and trainees to know their grievances and issued on spot necessary directions to the Principal PTTI Vijaypur and other concerned officers’ for redressal of the same.
While addressing the meeting, ADGP (Trainings), said that PTTI Vijaypur is the only institute where technical training is being imparted to all the technical wings of the J&K Police.
Agarwal further intimated that the responsibilities of police have increased manifold and it has become imperative to upgrade training infrastructure, besides framing proper syllabus fulfilling the present requirement.
He said required modern infrastructure would be provided to the training institute to get the desired results keeping in view the increased responsibilities of the police.
