ADGP Railways reviews security scenario

JAMMU, Oct 28: The Additional DGP Railways, Sunil Kumar reviewed security arrangements at Railway Station Udhampur and inspected the safety and security of railway passengers, railway station, railway track and other railway property.
The ADGP conducted a physical tour of the Railway Station and interacted with on duty officers/officials and briefed them about the nature of duty, prevailing security scenario and mechanism to face any security challenge.
Performance report of the security gadgets installed for checking/scanning was also taken and directions were issued for their optimum use and rectification of the faulty ones.
The ADGP emphasised for regular maintenance of accommodation available to GRP officers/officials.
He was accompanied by SSP Railways Katra, SDPO Railways Udhampur, SHO P/S GRP Udhampur, SHO RPF Udhampur and Station Master Railway Station. SSP Railway Katra gave a brief account of GRPs deployment at and around the Railway Station/track and their accommodation.
The ADGP stressed upon the alertness of manpower deployed for the security of Railways.
He said that the behaviour of railway cops towards needy, disabled and senior citizens should always be decent, polite and helpful.
