Jammu, June, 2022: Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone, Jammu Mukesh Singh-IPS accompanied by Div. Com. Jammu Ramesh Kumar-IAS conducted an extensive tour of district Poonch to took stock of the security / Law and Order situation of the district. ADGP Jammu took the meeting of all the supervisory officers which was attended by DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal-IPS, SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra , Addl. SP Poonch Mushim Ahmed and other territorial officers of district Poonch, where ADGP Jammu was briefed about the security / law and order situation in the wake of forthcoming Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra-2022 which starts in the last week of July.
ADGP briefed the police officers regarding the prevailing threat and suggested proactive and preventive measures to mitigate the threat. He also took stock of the steps being taken by the district police against OGWs and listed suspects.
Later, ADGP Jammu Zone accompanied by Div. Com Jammu, DIG RP Range, DDIB Jammu, Deputy Commissioner and SSP Poonch and other district officers visited Mandi and paid obeisance at Shri Budha Amarnath Ji temple.
Thereafter a meeting with the representatives of Mandir Management Committee, Co-ordination Committee, Civil Society members, Beopar Mandal and all other stakeholders was held. All the stakeholders assured the ADGP and Div. Com that they will whole heartedly welcome the Yatris and will facilitate the smooth conduct of forthcoming SBANJY-2022.
In the meeting the participants raised certain issues of public importance / development, toilet blocks along the yatra route etc. which was assured by Div. Com that the issues projected by the public will be addressed shortly.
The meeting was also attended by all the security forces including Army, BSF, CRPF, and intelligence agencies a whole briefed the ADGP separately regarding measures being taken on the security front.
