JAMMU, Feb 13: L Mohanti, Additional DGP Armed J&K, today promoted 836 Selection Grade Constables (SGCts) to the rank of Head Constables in J&K Armed Police besides Promotion-Instu to 14 Constables of Armed Police.
The SGCts promoted as Head Constables include all SGCts of 2005 – 06 batch plus 266 SGCts of the batch of SGCts promoted on 12.07.2006.
Meanwhile, Mohanti also decorated recently promoted officers with ranks in a piping ceremony held today here at Armed Police Headquarters. While decorating the officers with rank, the ADGP congratulated the promotees and wished them more success in their service career.
Sub-Inspectors Vidya Sagar, Ramesh Kumar and Assistant Sub-Inspector Krishan Saroop Rathore of Armed Police Headquarters J&K, who were decorated with ranks were promoted vide APHQ order No 118 and 119 of 2017 dated 09.02.2017.
It is pertinent to mention here that on February 9, ADGP Armed had issued promotion orders of 337 Police Personnel of J&K Armed Police which include 137 Sub-Inspectors and 200 Assistant Sub-Inspectors.
SSP MY Kichloo, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed J&K, Junaid Wali, Dy SP (Pers) APHQ, Jigmet Lhundhup, Dy SP Sports APHQ J&K, Mohammad Shafi Rather CPO APHQ, Sheikh Mohammad Younis Private Secretary to ADGP Armed J&K, Farooq Ahmad, Administrative Officer APHQ, Peerzada Idrees Malik Inspr (Pers) APHQ and all staff members of Armed Police Headquarters were present on the occasion.
