Jammu, Jan 28: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, S. M. Sahai today flagged off a group of 100 students participating in ‘Apna Watan Jano’ tour organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police under its Civic Action programme (CAP). The flag off ceremony of the tour was organized at Armed Police Headquarters at Gulshan Ground here.
Speaking on the occasion, ADGP said, “the seven-day-long ‘Apna Watan Jano’ tour has been organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police to familiarize the youth of State with rich and diverse cultural heritage and secular nature of the country.”
Mr. Sahai said that during the tour the students will be visiting places of cultural, educational, economic and historical importance in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan. “The students will also get an opportunity to visit Parliament that will enable them to get an idea about the administrative mechanism of the state of India. They will also get an opportunity to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan”, he added.
The ADGP advised the students that the tour is learning and knowledge gaining endeavor and they shall take full advantage of the opportunity.

Among others the flag off ceremony was attended by Inspectors General of Police (IGPs) Deepak Kumar, Youginder Koul, Muneer Ahmad Khan, DIGP Alok Kumar, Senior Superintendents of Police Javed Iqbal Mattoo, Tahir Sajad Bhat, Kulbir Singh, Rashmi Wazir and Sham Sunder Sharma.
