ADGP Anand Jain reviews traffic scenario, status of iRAD

JAMMU, Nov 26: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain today chaired a meeting to review the traffic situation and the status of the Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) in Jammu.
The meeting was attended by M Suleman Choudhary, IGP Traffic J&K, all DIGs from Jammu Zone, district SSPs, and traffic SSPs.
During the meeting, IGP Traffic M Suleman Choudhary gave a detailed overview of the current traffic scenario, accident trends, and the significance of the iRAD system.
He urged officers to ensure timely and accurate uploading of accident data into the iRAD portal. This, he explained, would help in analyzing accident patterns and formulating preventive measures to improve road safety.
The IGP emphasized that a data-driven approach is crucial for reducing road accidents and improving traffic management in the region.
ADGP Jammu, in his address, stressed the importance of the iRAD system and instructed all SSPs to upload any pending accident data within the next 4 to 5 days.
He highlighted that accurate data is essential for developing effective strategies to reduce accidents.
To monitor progress, ADGP Jammu announced that review meetings will be held monthly to assess the effectiveness of the efforts.
He emphasized the need for timely compliance and continuous improvement of the system.
All officers present were urged to follow the directive to enhance road safety and reduce traffic-related incidents in Jammu.
