KATHUA, Nov 23: Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All Departments’ Clerical Staff Association (ADCSA), Kathua unit, has demanded the Government to remove pay anomalies of the clerical cadre.
In a meeting of the apex body and core group of Kathua unit of the Association held here today under the chairmanship its president, Manohar Singh, the speakers condemned the anti-employees and anti-workers policies of the State Government, which they alleged, after reaching a number of agreements with clerical cadre, failed to concede their genuine demands.
The meeting described the Pay Anomalies Committee made by the Government as an eye wash just to befool the clerical cadre employees and appealed the Chief Minister and Finance Minister to intervene personally to remove pay anomalies in the pay structure (5th Pay Commission) of the clerical cadre and grant the pay scale of 4000-6000 to junior Assistants, 4500-7000 to senior Assistants/ Junior Statistical Assistants/ Steno Typists and 5500-9000 to Head Assistants/ Statistical Assistants/ Junior Stenographers notionally with effect from January 1, 1996 and monetary with effect from February 19, 2003, as recommended by Convener.
The other demands highlighted in the meeting were exemption from the Secretariat Training Course Examination and declaration of Clerical cadre as Technical cadre.
The speakers said that they fully support the pen down strike call given by the State body on December 1 and 2 and appealed all clerical cadre of Kathua district to strictly observe the strike on said dates.
