Adarsh CC, Kongposh Club, RCC Srinagar script wins in KPL

JAMMU, Sept 24: Adarsh Cricket Club, Kongposh Cricket Club and RCC Srinagar scripted victories over their rivals in the ongoing IInd KPL Pink Ball Cricket Tournament, being played at KC Sports Club ground, here.
In the first match played today, Kongposh Cricket Club thrashed Sharika Cricket Club in an easy contest by 60 runs.
Batting first, Kongposh Cricket Club scored 183 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Vishal (40), Vinoo (35) and Anil (23) were the main scorers. Vivek Suri took 3 wickets, while Sunil claimed one.
In reply, Sharika Club managed to score 123 runs, thus lost the match by 60 runs. Vivek Suri top scored with 50 runs, while Nikhil contributed 16 runs to the total. Anil and Sunil took 2 wickets each. Anil was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Adarsh Cricket Club defeated Magnum Cricket Club by 30 runs. Adarsh Club scored 123 runs in 17.4 overs. Rajat and King Ji scored 21 and 20 runs respectively, while Karan chipped in with 14 runs. Harish and Puran bagged 3 wickets each from Magnum CC.
In reply, Magnum bundled out for 93 runs to lose the match by 30 runs. Puran and Bharti scored 21 and 13 runs respectively. Rohit, Vinod and Arun claimed 2 wickets each for Magnum. King Ji was adjudged as the man of the match.
In third match of the day, RCC crushed Gopinath Cricket Club by a big margin of 91 runs. RCC scored 149 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Rahul Mussa top scored with 48 runs, while Raman Thaploo contributed valuable 35 runs to the total. Gourav Bhat and Vimarsh Kaw also scored 30 and 17 runs respectively. Rahul Mussa was declared as the man of the match.
In reply, Gopinath Cricket Club collapsed at 58 runs to lose the match by 91 runs. Ajay Tickoo was the only batsman to cross double figure mark, scoring 17 runs for RCC, Sanjay Raina took 4 important wickets, while Vimarsh Kaw baged 3 wickets. Rahul Mussa and Praful Dhar claimed 2 and 1 wicket respectivelly.
