POONCH, May 5:  Castigating both State and Centre Governments, Youth National Conference today said that adamant attitude of both the Governments is further deteriorating the situation in Kashmir valley, which has already witnessed crisis in last two years.
While addressing a gathering of workers and locals during his tour to Mandi area of Poonch Haveli constituency, Youth NC provincial president Ajaz Jan said that Kashmir valley situation is a clear indication of failure of Governments to fulfill their promises made in respect to Kashmir before polls.  “Government should have initiated a dialogue process involving all stakeholders to restore peace in Valley,  however, adamant attitude of Government, both State and Centre, is further deteriorating the situation,” he said.
Jan further took a dig on Centre Government and said that before polls, slogan for Kashmir by BJP was Kashmiriyat, Insaniyat and Jamhooriyat and now it’s Pellet Gun, Pava Shell and Tear Gas.
While mentioning about students protest in Valley, Jan said that Government should think that students are not happy with Government and they need to be pacified as they are not the people against whom use of force is only option.
“Anger is also brewing among people of Jammu for failure of Government to deal with Valley situation and harsh treatment to students and such a thinking can also affect the atmosphere of Jammu areas,” he added.
Jan further said that efforts on diplomatic and talks channel should be made to restore peace and order in Valley and Government will have to end its adamant attitude.
