Sir,
In last few days many deaths occurred due to accidents as per the newspaper reports. And all these accidents were due to bad condition of the roads. Yes, it is true that most of the roads are in a dilapidated condition. Enough funds stand utilized for the maintenance of these roads but we see the roads always in the same condition. And whenever the concerned department awakes from the slumber and pays attention to the ailing roads and repair them, shockingly just after one season the roads are back to square one. Nobody is bothered about the specifications laid down for making of the roads or maintaining these roads. Had roads been maintained according to the specifications why would accidents occur? And for that reason lack of coordination between various departments add to the miseries. Roads are made and then other departments come to cut the roads and do their job leaving roads unattended. People want sadak, paani bijli, hawa khorak(roads, potable water, electricity and food) . Is there anybody listening ?
