JAMMU, Oct 25: Making a strong dig at the forces who are challenging the Accession of J&K with India, senior BJP leader and ex MP, Rajya Sabha, Tarun Vijay today said that the Accession signed by Mahraja Hari Singh is irrevocable and no power on earth can challenge it.
Tarun Vijay, who was the main speaker at a seminar on Vilay Divas (Accession Day) organised by J&K Adiyan Kendra here, said it is a Diwali prior to Diwali celebrations in the history of India and this day has a great importance for every Indian.
He said the day be celebrated in a befitting manner tomorrow every where by illuminating all public places, building and markets.
Taking a dig at National Conference (NC) and other Kashmir based political parties who challenge application of Indian Constitution in Kashmir, he said with what face they are saying this when the founder leader of the party and former Chief Minster, Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah was the Member of Indian Constituent Committee. “If this Constitution of which he was member is applicable to entire India why can’t be it to J&K when Sheikh too was signatory to it”, he questioned? He accused the NC leadership of misleading the people of the State in this regard and opened their eyes as well as those who are taking the Party’s stance on Accession to mislead the people for their political aggrandizement.

Accusing Nehru for all problems in Kashmir including present crisis, Tarun Vijay said he (Nehru) proved indecisive on the Kashmir. He said it was his (Nehru’s) great mistake in halting the Indian forces when they had forced Pak invaders to beat a hasty retreat in 1947. This, he said was done by Nehru on the instance of then Pak Prime Minister, Liayaqat Ali Khan.
The another blunder done by him was that he took the Kashmir issue to UNO despite the decision was questioned by the then Jana Sangh, president, Dr Shayma Prasad Mookherjee.
He also criticized the Congress for Delhi Agreement of 1947 which was a step of breaking the nationalist forces in the country. Maintaining that Gilgit, Askardoo, Baltistan and PoK are the integral part of India, he appealed the people that while celebrating the Accession Day they should pledge to get it liberated from the clutches of Pakistan.
Terming the movement started by Muslim Conference which was later converted into National Conference (NC) a communal movement, Tarun Vijay said that this movement was started from mosques by Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah.
He said when Maharaja, Hari Singh took action against Sheikh the Congress leader, Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru pleaded his case and it was only Shayama Prasad Mookherjee who spoke against Sheikh and demanded the same treatment for Maharaja which was given to heads of other princely states which acceded or merged with India.
Tarun Vijay accused Nehru of delaying sending forces to Kashmir when Pak Army invaded it in 1947 and it was only after the then Home Minster, Sardar Patel intervened and Nehru was left with no option but order Army to enter Kashmir and flush out Pak invaders.
He said Gopala Swami Ayanger a great constitutional expert had said that Article 370 giving special Constitutional position to J&K should now go as there is no indication in 1947 Accession about it, except total integration of State with India. Besides, as per Indian Independence Act there is also no alternative except total accession of J&K with India, while terming Article 35 A extra Constitutional as there is no mention of it in the Indian Constitution, he added.
The welcome address was made by RSS Sangchalak Gautam Mengi while those on dais included Brig Suchet Singh, RSS Sangchalak, Dr Satya Dev of Trikuta Sankalap. RSS Khastriya Pracharak, Ramesh Ji and senior leader of State RSS, Parshotam Dadichi were among the prominent people who attended the seminar. On the occasion the new issue of Trikuta Sankalap was also released.
