Acceptability of RSS increasing day by day: Brig Singh

JAMMU, Mar 21: The acceptability of the RSS among the people is increasing day by day in the country.
This was stated by Brig (retd) Suchet Singh Prant Sangchalak, J&K, after attending the three day long Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (the highest policy making body of the Sangh) at Nagpur.
The conference was held from March 13 to 15, he said adding the work of Sangh during last three years was reviewed in it. He said there are a total number of 51,330 daily Sakhas, 12847 weekly Sakhas, 9008 monthly Sakhas held all over country and there is 20 percent increase in the figure as compared to 2012.The total number of units has gone to 73,155, he added.
Brig Singh said in the Pratinidhi Sabha tributes were paid to those prominent personalities who were working in different fields of the society and passed away in recent days and also to those who died in natural calamities and terrorists attacks. Besides, the tributes were paid to defence and security personnel who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Brig Singh said a resolution was also passed that education in primary school should be imparted in mother tongue. He said the UN has declared February 21 as the day of mother tongue.
In the second resolution the Sangh has decided to practice Yoga from June 15 to June 21 in all its Sakhas as UN has declared June 21 as Yoga Day. It will also cooperate with any programme of yoga organized by any government or private body, Brig Singh added.
He said during the conference Suresh Bhayaji Joshi has been re-elected as Sarkaryvah for another three years while V Baghaya Ji was given responsibility of Seh Sarkaryavah raising the number of Seh Sarkaryvah to four in the Executive Body.
Brig Singh who was flanked by RSS Karivah Purshotam Dadichi said 1,52,388 Seva projects are run by RSS in the country. In J&K daily 255 Sakha, 92 weekly Sakha and 85 monthly Sakha are held. In the State also number of Sakhas has increased by 20 percent as compared to 2012, he added.
Brig Singh said joining RSS through internet 3000 people are joining Sangh daily and in Jammu 800 youth have joined Sangh through internet in all three regions of the State.
The RSS leaders also strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Samba and Kathua and Government was asked to conduct the search operations to nab the terrorists.
