SRINAGAR, Feb 25: Anti Corruption Bureau South Kashmir has booked a Junior Engineer of R&B Department for accumulating property disproportionate to his known source of income.
The said JE, namely Syed Tariq Ahmad of Qazigbagh Anantnag, has been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act on the basis of facts revealed during the course of a Preliminary Enquiry conducted against him.
The enquiry revealed that the accused JE has accumulated huge assets, both movable and immovable, by way of indulging in corrupt and illegal practices and by abusing his official position. The property was found disproportionate to his known source of income.
Accordingly a Case FIR No. 02/2019 under section 5 (2) of J&K PC Act Svt, 2006 was registered in Police Station Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) South Kashmir Anantnag against the accused JE.
