JAMMU, Mar 27: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized district drama festival at NHPC auditorium, Joytipuram in Reasi.
In this festival five theatre groups from Udhampur and Reasi participated from March 11 to 16.
The adjudicators engaged by the Academy recommended awards for the artists and the groups as well.
The play ‘Spartacus’ presented by Abhinaya Kala Manch Reasi has been adjudged as best production while the play ‘Kali Dhoop’ by Tripple A Performing Arts has been adjudged as 2nd best production.
Best Director Award was given to Shadab Khan for the play Spartacus and Best Actor Award to Neeraj Kesar for the play Spartacus.
Best Actress Award was given to Poonam Rani for the Play Kali Dhoop by Tripple A Performing Arts and Best Music Award to Raja Amir Khan and Kamal Chandpuri.
Best Make-Up Award was given to Mohd Akram Khan for the play Chor Chor Mousery Bhai by Sangam Theatre Group while award for Best Lights was given to Asim Khan for the play Sapartacus.
Award for Best Set and Costumes was given to Neeraj Kesar and Rift Khan respectfully for the play Spartacus.
In consolation categories for Make-Up awards were given to Raja Amir Khan and Poonam Rani for Direction for the play Kali Dhoop while for Costumes the award was given to Megha Ajnabi for the play Payada and for Music Rohit Kumar was awarded for the play Spartacus.
2nd best Actors award was given to Munish Sharma for play Payada and Deepak Kumar for the play Kali Dhoop.
2nd best actress was given to Meenu Sharma for the play Payada and Anjli Anand for the play Spartacus.
Certificate of Merits were given to Nirdosh Sharma, Rajesh Ajanbi, Pallvi Rajput, Manohar, Arun Sharma, Dharmesh Rathore, Saima Akhtar, Monika Kumari, Shubam Sahweni, Arun Sharma, Manjeet Singh and Sawan Sangral.
Dr. Kamal Sharma, J.R Sagar and Bodh Raj were the adjudicators.
