ABVP protests for shifting of quarantine centers from schools, colleges

UDHAMPUR, July 13: Demanding immediate shifting of quarantine centres from schools and colleges, activists of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Udhampur unit, today protested in front of DC office Udhampur.
The protesting students, led by Hardeep Jamwal, Secretary ABVP, raised slogans in support of their demand and also submitted a memorandum to DC Udhampur.
Justifying their demand, they explained that the Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme was in the process and for the documents verification, students are required to visit their schools and colleges. “So, we are requesting the Government to shift the quarantine centres from all schools and colleges to other places, so that the students can safely go to their schools and colleges for their documental works without risk of Covid-19 pandemic,” they said adding that results of 10th and 12th classes have been declared by the Board and the admission process for 9th to 12th are in progress in schools.
Students are visiting the school for their documents and Marks Card while the result of 3rd and 5th semester has been declared by Jammu University and many students have their ‘Later On result’ , which needs submission of documents for declaration of the same.
