JAMMU, Jan 16: Jammu Kashmir unit of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized ‘Madrassa Students Conclave-2020’ , here today.
Students from various Madrassas attended the ABVP programme, which was organized under `Vishesh Sampark Abhiyan 2020′ . Sunil Ambekar, senior RSS Pracharak and former National Organizing Secretary ABVP was key speaker on the occasion while Maulana Naqshbandi and Mufti Zakir were the guests of honor and chief guest, respectively in the programme.
Sunil Ambekar emphasized on the role of modern education and said that general syllabus must also be included in the curriculum in Madrassas. “Nationalist thoughts need to be emphasized in every education institute while the regional language must be promoted for taking the education to the grass route level,” he added.
Maulana Naqshbandi said that Sufism in India has always promoted nationalist thoughts and never made any statement against Indian integrity. He submitted a memorandum to Sunil Ambekar for promotion and development of separate Madrassa Board for balanced funding and equivalent development of the Madrasaa students.
Mufti Zakir said that it was indeed an honor to witness such program in which ABVP was promoting students from Madrassa to bring them into main stream at par with other students. He lamented that Madrassa students have been excluded from regular activities by Government institutes. “This is a good platform to development of the feeling of oneness in the country. Madrassa has always tried to develop feeling of National respect,” he added.
Dr A P Singh provided the information about the role of ABVP in nation building and raising the voice of students.
