UDHAMPUR, July 9: On the foundation day of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), its Udhampur unit celebrated the day as Students’ day.
The function was held in the premises of Sanatan Dharm Sabha here under the presidentship of Dr Variender Kondel, State president, ABVP. Anil Gupta was the guest of honour.
The function started with lighting of candle by Dr Variender accompanied by others followed by welcome address by Sushant Gupta, president, Government Degree College Udhampur.
Addressing the gathering, Kondel said that ABVP has declared its foundation day as Students’ Day, as the association is committed for the welfare of the student community.
Local leaders of ABVP highlighted various problems being faced by the student community in the district.
The function was compeered by the girls wing of ABVP Unit Udhampur under the supervision of district president, Seema Dhar.
