DODA, Apr 27: Police arrested a man, who was evading his arrest after raping a girl, here.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a girl hailing from Tehsil Bhagla with Doda police station stating that Ajaz Ahmed, son of Manzoor Ahmed of Dhara Tehsil Doda has kidnapped and raped her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 58/2017 under Section 366, 376 and 342 was registered and man hunt was launched to arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Doda police station arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
