Absconding OGW arrested after 22 years

REASI, June 7: An absconding Over Ground Worker (OGW), who is accused of providing shelter and other logistics to the militants, has been arrested after 22 years.
Accused Mohi-ud-Din, son of Samdoo, resident of Shikari, tehsil Mahore and District Reasi, was absconding in case FIR number 82/1999, dated 22/06/1999, under section 212, 216 RPC Police Station Mahore.
The case was proved and challaned in the court of law but the accused went underground for avoiding participating in the investigation proceedings. He remained untraced since registration of case FIR in 1999.
A warrant under Section 512 CrPC was issued by the Court of JMIC Mahore against the accused on 18/02/2002.
By meticulously planning & coordinated efforts after developing input, team of Police Station Mahore arrested the criminal, said SSP Reasi, Shailendra Singh.
This is the arrest of fourteenth absconder by Reasi Police within a period of six weeks time against whom warrants U/S 512 CrPC were pending.
