DODA, May 24: Gandoh Police arrested absconding drug peddler within 24 hours.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Gandoh along with Executive Magistrate conducted raid in the house of a notorious drug peddler identified as Talib Hussain, son of Mohammad Shafi of Kako Dossa and seized 750 grams cannabis, weighing machine and Rs 30,000 cash. The accused on seeing police cops escaped from the spot.
During preliminary inquiry, it was found that accused Talib Hussain used to supply the cannabis among youth in small quantities using small weighing machine.
A case under FIR Number 46/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandoh and hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
On specific inputs, a team from Police Station Gandoh led by SHO Inspector Vikram Singh conducted raid and arrested the absconding drug peddler.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The whole operation was supervised by SDPO Gandoh Shahzada Kabir Matto and SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed.
