JAMMU, Feb 3: Gangyal police arrested an absconding cheater, who was evading his arrest for the past 4 years.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Gangyal Police Station headed by SI Hazara Singh was deputed to Haryana.
The team conducted raid in Riwadi area of Haryana and arrested the absconder, who has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Dabki Nandan, a resident of Riwadi Haryana.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 194/14 under section 420 RPC with Police Station Gangyal and was evading his arrest since the commission of the offence in the year 2014. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the Court.
The arrested persons will be produced in Court of law tomorrow and warrant will be executed.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Singh, SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani and SP South Vinay Kumar.
