JAMMU, June 24: Janipur police nabbed two absconders, who were evading their arrest for the past several years.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Janipur police station conducted a raid in Ambphalla area and arrested an absconder, who was at large since 2011.
The accused has been identified as Javed Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ramzan of district Doda.
He was wanted in a case registered against him at Janipur police station under FIR Number 27/2011 under Section 224 after he escaped the custody of Nagrota police, when the latter were producing him for the remand in High Court, Janipur.
Meanwhile, Janipur police also nabbed another absconder, who was at large since 2010.
The accused has been identified as Tinku Kumar, son of Tara Chand of Saharan Gajansoo.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 166/2010 under Section 379 RPC with Janipur police station.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
Police team led by SHO Janipur police station Inspector Ajit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sandeep Choudhary, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
