Absconders arrested by CB Jammu after 3 years

JAMMU, July 22: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch (CB) Jammu, apprehended two absconders after a relentless pursuit spanning three years.
The accused have been identified as Satvinder Singh and Rajeev Bharanatti, who had been evading arrest for their involvement in separate cases of economic offenses.
A CB spokesperson said that Satvinder Singh, son of Malkit Singh, hailing from Kaisupura Kutta Bud Enllabad in District Sirsa, Haryana, was wanted in connection with FIR number 38/2021. He faced charges under IPC Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, and 120-B for deceiving unemployed youth with promises of overseas job placements.
The second accused, Rajeev Bharanatti, son of late Bosavraj Bharattti, was traced to Flat No-104 Mahavir Darshan Plot No 5A, Sector 06 Kopar Khairanee, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, he said. He was involved in case FIR number 16/2020, charged with defrauding a complainant of lakhs of rupees under IPC Section 420, said the CB spokesperson.
He said both accused individuals had been on the run and continuously changing their locations to evade law enforcement.
As a result, arrest warrants were issued against them by the Court during the course of the investigations and accordingly they were traced and arrested by the teams of Crime Branch, Jammu.
