JAMMU, Feb 12: Police today apprehended an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past over three years.
Police spokesman said that, following inputs from reliable sources, the absconder identified as Devi Singh, son of Ravail Singh of Rattanpur, Badwani, tehsil Akhnoor was arrested today.
He said that the absconder, who was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 225/12 under Section 489 RPC at RS Pura was also wanted in several other cases including smuggling case of 14 kgs of heroin worth Rs 20 crore registered with Khour police station in 2010.
A case under FIR number 84/96 under Section 9-A/25-A/ NDPS Act also stands registered against him at Akhnoor police station, spokesman said, adding that a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02P-6824 was also recovered from his possession.
