Absconder arrested from Punjab

JAMMU, Jan 28: Jhajjar Kotli police arrested an absconder from Punjab, who was evading his arrest for the past four years.
As per police sources, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station conducted a raid in village Sarangwal area of tehsil Hoshiarpur in Punjab and nabbed an absconder, who was at large for the past four years.
The accused has been identified as Harmesh Lal, son of Hazara Ram, a resident of Village Sarangwal, tehsil Hoshiarpur, District Gurashanker, Punjab.
The absconder was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 92/2010 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act with Jhajjar Kotli police station and was absconding since then.
The accused was produced in the court of law and sent to judicial custody for 15 days.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Khaliq Choudhary and SP Rural Rajiv Pandey.
