JAMMU, May 9: Gangyal police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since four years.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ameen, son of Imtiaz Ahmed, a resident of Darsopur, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 14/14 under sections 382, 323, 364, 347, 148 and 201 RPC with Police Station Gangyal. Arrest warrant under section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest warrant was executed by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani and SP South Vinay Sharma.
